New River Finish on the Halcyon Table base creates a corrugated 'grain' from rich chalk paint applied appearing similar to distressed wood. Each piece is sealed for light water cleaning. The pioneers who settled in Broward County used sturdy Dade County Pine to build outposts and create limited indoor furniture.
Corrugated furniture could not have existed in the days of the pioneers. Only strong wood could withstand the tough conditions. The artisanal application of chalk paint creates texture and depth upon the corrugated veneers similar to a rustic table heavily used by the Stranahan family and other original residents.
RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
Your table was painstakingly made so no returns can be made but an exchange can be done for tables ordered without marquetry veneers. We pay our artists, including student artists from the local visual arts public school program, to produce each hand made table.
